Following the controversy trailing the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji with the stage name Mohbad, two radio stations have banned playing Naira Marley songs on air.
According to gathering by News Webbs via Nairaland, Splash FM 105.5 Ibadan, Oyo State, and Divine FM 101.3 Enugu State, have both banned the playing of songs by Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley) till further notice.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday by one of the presenters at the radio station, Aderonke Adesola.
Marley’s songs, according to the post, have been placed on “Not to Be Broadcast” on the radio frequency by the station’s management
The post read, “Good evening team. In view of the sensitive nature around the death of Mohbad and the criminal procedure, the police have commenced, I will urge us all to exercise discretion.
“To this effect, Naira Marley’s songs have become NTBB (not to be broadcast) on our station until further notice. This is with immediate effect. Thank you”

In the same vein, the General Manager of Divine FM Enugu State, Crystal Jane Ogechi also made the decision of the radio station on Tuesday.
In her exact words, “Until Mohbad gets the justice he deserves, DIVINE 101.3 FM has joined other Radio and Tv stations to ban the AIRING OF SONGS FROM MARLIAN RECORDS AND NAIRA MARLEY SONGS in DIVINE FM 101.3 Radio”.
