A lot of fans have reacted to the called-out tweet made by the heavyweight champion Tyson Fury towards the British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua on a title fight for the WBC belt.

Fury Call-out Anthony Joshua For WBC Title Fight

There were speculations that Fury was considering retiring from the sport after defeating Dillian Whyte in April. But there have been reports that he has been seeking a high-profile bout with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

On Monday 5th September, 2022, Fury posted on his social media accounts, that he is ready to get into the ring with Joshua his currently hold WBC belt.

“Yo @anthonyjoshua what you saying big G let’s give the fanz what they want as Usyk is bitching??? I got the date and venue who will rule Britannia?” he tweeted.

Joshua is still fresh off a point loss to the Ukrainian Usyk in a rematch last month, after surrendering the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts to the same opponent last September via a decision loss.

Usyk will not be ready for a unification bout with Fury until 2023, and Fury believes that fans want to see a heavyweight fight soon and is prepared to fight Joshua first in December.

However, AJ as popularly called responded to Fury, telling him to contact his management and that he would be ready in December.

“Yea, calm,” Joshua posted. “I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if you’re really about it, shout @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December.”

Some fans have in return reacted to the called-out, below are some of the reactions:

@neoman42 – “You feel so lonely in your retirement that you feel obligated to yell every two days. You just an old retired boxer while talented ones are doing what you can’t anymore”
@BillyNelsonBox – “What an opportunity for AJ to get straight back in the picture”
@tonyrog40095646 – “Awesome, a true gentleman to offer AJ this opportunity and a great match up. This is a fight of the ages but I suspect you will win champ. A J should forget the posing and body building and get back to the arrogance and courage of his early career which would make a great fight.”
@GarryMa82121300 – “Now let’s see if this happens highly unlikely that it will but it’s what us British fans want even tho AJ will be a lamb to the slaughter mind even better if you fight Usyk on same night lol”
