Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian Afropop singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has set a new record as the “Nigerian celebrity with the most liked Instagram picture”.
Davido, has stayed off the social media space for a while following the loss of his son Ifeanyi. On Sunday, in what could be tagged a comeback, posted romantic pictures of himself and his wife, Chioma on the Instagram.
As at the time of filing this report, the said picture instantly set Instagram ablaze and has garnered 1,740,432 likes and 228,381 comments in less than 24 hours after it was posted.
It was gathered that prior to Davido performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Sunday, the award-winning star shared pictures on Instagram with Chioma, who was seen dressing her man ahead of his performance.
The singer, who is also the most-followed African celebrity on Instagram with 26.1 million followers, sang the 2022 World Cup soundtrack “Hayya Hayya” (Better Together), alongside Trinidad Cardona and AISHA, at the closing ceremonies of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Sunday’s Performance was Davido’s second public appearance and first performance since the death of his son in October. Likewise, that makes his wife first public appearance since the unfortunate incident.
Ifeanyi, just few days after he celebrated third year, was reportedly dead after drowning in the family swimming pool in his father’s house in Banana Island, Lagos.
