”The terrorists attacked them at 6.45 p.m and also killed three civilians. Investigation is already in progress over the matter.” He said.

It would be recalled that last month, an Area Commander, ACP Aminu Umar, and one officer from the Kastina State Police Command  in the Zakka forest of Safana local government area of the state were murdered by bandits.

In a similar case, earlier this month, suspected terrorists attacked the convoy of cars conveying President Muhammadu Buhari’s advance team of security guards, protocol and media officers, near Dutsinma in Katsina State, killing two policemen in the process.

However, the efforts of the government in clamping down the deadly bandits have not really become evident as up to five states in the north are currently facing recurrent attacks.
