Auto Crash Claims 4 Lives In Ogun

Abeokuta, Nigeria – A Toyota Sienna bus rammed into a moving Sino truck loaded with bags of cement and ended up killing four men travelling with the vehicle in Ogun State, South-West Nigeria.

According the information at NEWS WEBBS disposal, the road crash reportedly occurred around 7pm along the Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu Road, Ogun State.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps confirmed the accident occurred at Adedero in front of Adaranijo Filling Station, along the highway.

TRACE Public Relations Officer, Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed that the said vehicles were traveling inbound Abeokuta. According to him, the cement truck marked WDL418XA, was emitting fumes and had no visible rear lights.

He said, ”All the victims were occupants of the Toyota Sienna which bore number plate, AAA307GN. “One of the passengers who did not die immediately after the accident was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, where he gave up the ghost.’’

Following the unfortunate incident, the state traffic body, TRACE admonished drivers to ensure their vehicles are in good order before hitting the road so as to avert such scenario in the future.
