The Lagos State police spokeperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the drowning happened at Davido’s residence, adding that an investigation into the matter was ongoing.

“Yes, we have invited eight people over the death of his son,” Mr Hundeyin said.

It would be recalled that David Adeleke (Davido) and Chioma Rowland recently celebrated their son’s third birthday on October 20 with glamour and beautiful pictures.

However, the bereaved family is yet to issue a statement about the incident.

The unfortunate incident has gathered sympathy from friends well-meaning Nigerians and associates in the entertainment industry as well as fans globally.
