3 Policemen, 3 Others Burnt To Ashes In Car Accident

Kebbi, Nigeria – Three police officers and three civilians have been reportedly burnt to ashes during a ghastly accident that occurred in Jega road, Kebbi State.

Validating the incident, Kebbi State Police Com­mand confirmed the death of three of its per­sonnel in a ghastly motor accident.

In a released statement, SP Nafiu Abubakar, said that policemen attached to Echo Bank bullion van fell vic­tims when a Toyoto Carina E collid­ed with other cars suspected to be pursued by personnel of customs, Kebbi state command on alleged smuggling of PMS.

According to him, the accident which happened along Argungu, Jega road also claimed the lives of three other ci­vilians and four motorcycles were also consumed by the inferno.

On receipt of what happened, CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora of Kebbi police command mobilised to the scene of the accident, con­doled with the families and ordered immediate investigation into the root cause of the accident.

However, as at the time of filing this report no official statement from Kebbi state command of Ni­geria customs.
