It would be recalled that, the terrorists released a video, yesterday, threatening to kill the remaining hostages if the Federal Government failed to meet their demands as prompt as necessary.

The deadly group, believed to be suspected Boko Haram insurgents, had detonated improvised explosives devices (IEDs) in the train and forced it to derail a few minutes into the trip in Kaduna.

According to a report documented by BBC Hausa, a relative of one of the kidnapped victims said those released included two men and a woman.

The relative said the released victims were on the way to a health facility for medical examination.

However, the details of the development are still sketchy as information about ransomed payment is yet to be solidified.
